As with other precision parts, you should be careful when installing rolling spherical roller bearings. Choosing the right installation method and using the right installation tools are equally important.

Installation site The installation of spherical roller bearings should be carried out in a dry and dust-free room as far as possible, and should be far away from metal processing or other equipment that generates metal chips and dust. When spherical roller bearings must be installed in an unprotected environment (a situation often encountered in larger spherical roller bearings), appropriate measures must be taken to protect the spherical roller bearings and related components from dust or moisture Air pollution, until the installation is completed, for example, use packaging wax or foil to cover or wrap the spherical roller bearing and related components.

Preparation before installation and disassembly Before installation, all necessary parts, tools, equipment and related data should be prepared. Also carefully study the drawings or related instructions to determine the correct installation procedures for the different components. The cleaning is good, and special inspection of screw holes, ducts or grooves should be made to prevent some processing residues. For the cast spherical roller bearing seat, ensure that the five-core sand remains on some unmachined surfaces and remove all burrs. Check the dimensional tolerances and shape tolerances of all components in the spherical roller bearing configuration. The relevant components must reach the required accuracy and meet the specified tolerance range, so that the spherical roller bearing can exert its due performance. The diameter of the cylindrical journal and the seat hole is generally measured with a micrometer at two cross-sections and four different positions. The taper of the journal can be measured with a ring gauge, a special taper gauge or a sine gauge.

Relevant test and measurement results are recommended to be kept as records for reference when needed. During the measurement, the parts and measuring instruments should be kept at approximately the same temperature to ensure the accuracy of the measurement. This means that it may be necessary to place the parts and measuring equipment in the same place for a considerable amount of time to achieve the same speed. This approach is especially important for large spherical roller bearings and related components.

Spherical roller bearings should be kept in the original packaging until just before installation to prevent the entry of dust and other contaminants. Under normal circumstances, there is no need to remove the anti-rust agent applied to the spherical roller bearing before leaving the factory, just wipe the spherical roller bearing with grease and apply it at very high or very low temperature, or the grease used It is not compatible with rust inhibitors, so it is necessary to clean and carefully dry the spherical roller bearings before installation to avoid destroying the effect of grease. If the spherical roller bearing may be contaminated due to improper handling (such as damaged packaging, etc.), it is also necessary to clean and dry the spherical roller bearing before installation. For spherical roller bearings taken out of the original packaging, if the rust inhibitor on the surface is relatively thick or has high viscosity, the spherical roller bearings also need to be cleaned and dried. This situation may occur in some extra-large spherical roller bearings with an outer diameter greater than 420mm. In this case, solvent or paraffin can be used to remove the anti-rust agent on the spherical roller bearing. If you are using a spherical roller bearing with a sealing ring or a dust cover, since it has been filled with grease at the factory, it cannot be cleaned before installation.
